Matthew 19:1-2 (NKJV)

“Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, that He departed from Galilee and came to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there.”

Where was Jesus found?

Where were the miracles?

Not only was it out of sight and on the other side of the river,

but it was far away from anyone's comfort zone.

It required a departure from home as the only way to follow Jesus!

GOING BEYOND: TIME, TALENT, AND TREASURE

Living a life of giving—time, talent, and treasure—calls us to step beyond comfort and normalcy, aligning our hearts with God’s Kingdom priorities. This mirrors Christ’s ultimate sacrifice, who went beyond all earthly limits to give Himself for us (Philippians 2:5-8).

TIME: Going Beyond Convenience

Ephesians 5:16: "Making the best use of the time, because the days are evil."

Time is a gift from God, and using it wisely means stepping beyond what’s comfortable or convenient to invest in God’s work and others.

Serving others requires prioritizing their needs over our own schedules, reflecting Christ’s example of sacrificial service (Mark 10:45).

TALENT: Going Beyond Comfort

1 Peter 4:10: "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."

God has given everyone unique talents, not for self-glorification but for building His Kingdom.

Going beyond means using these gifts in unfamiliar or challenging ways, trusting God to multiply their impact (2 Corinthians 12:9).

TREASURE: Going Beyond Obligation

2 Corinthians 9:7: "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

Giving financially is an act of worship, calling us to go beyond the minimum and give sacrificially, as the widow did with her two small coins (Mark 12:41-44).

True generosity stretches us, reflecting trust in God as our ultimate provider (Proverbs 3:9-10).

WHY BEYOND?

The BEYOND Campaign is an answer to the urgent call of reaching others. Jesus modeled a life that went Beyond comfort for the sake of others, stepping out of Heaven to bring salvation to the world.

In the same way, this call to GO BEYOND will challenge us to trust that God will use our faithfulness to transform lives and expand His work in powerful ways. By trusting Him, we partner together in building a legacy of faith that will impact generations to come.

  • Our Worship Center is currently at seating capacity and God is calling us to make room for more.

  • Our parking lot is at capacity. We have faithful attendees parking multiple blocks away and are taking up all of the street parking along Yale.

  • Our current HVAC system is 55+ years old (and hanging on by a thread), our roofs are leaky, and our parking lot is in disrepair.

  • The upcoming Yale Expansion Project necessitates remodeling our lobby. In its current form, its limited space hinders smooth transitions for attendees and challenges the effectiveness of our guest relations teams.

BEYOND WILL:

The BEYOND Campaign will enable our church to increase our ministry capacity and fulfill our God-given vision through expansion and vital improvements of our current campus and facilities. All ministry efforts will be enhanced and operate more effectively because of this challenge!

  • Beyond will allow us to extend our seating for an additional 100 souls! It will also provide wider aisles, an expanded altar to accommodate our worship experience, and a renovated platform.

  • By faith, we envision Beyond allowing the purchase of adjacent properties, providing at least 120 total spaces to accommodate parking needs.

  • Beyond will allow for a brand-new, specially engineered HVAC system, provide new roofs for our entire campus, and a fresh repaving of our parking lot.

  • Beyond will allow for a redesigned lobby area that will create opportunities to connect with guests before and after services. It will also provide larger and updated restrooms, a dedicated safety and security room, and a dedicated nursing mothers room.
